Q: Where do you deliver and how much does it cost?

A: We've just onboarded a courier service to deliver from Brisbane to Ipswich and Gold Coast. Every Wednesday they'll also deliver as far as Toowoomba, Sunshine Coast, and Tweed Heads regions.

Delivery will cost a flat fee of $16. But it's free for now (we'll cover the costs) as we're still onboarding the courier service.

Alternatively, you can come pick up your order from our kitchen, at Book To Cook based in Mansfield for free.

Your box will arrive between 9 am and 5 pm on your expected delivery day. All orders cut off on Sunday before the delivery week.

We're just a small team, so we appreciate your understanding with the limited delivery date options!

If you're not residing in any of the areas mentioned above but this looks delicious to you, please stay in touch! Leave us a message too and when we eventually expand our delivery to your location, you'll be the first to know!

Q: What is hot pot, and what does it taste like?

A: The concept of hot pot is simple:

Place a simmering pot of hot broth at the center of a table, gather around with your family and friends, then add and cook all the raw ingredients you like, in the broth.

The broths you pick and the sauces you mix will affect what your hot pot tastes like. Spicy, sour, savoury, light, soothing. It's all up to you.

The beauty of hot pot is there are 30+ variations out there, and you can create your own version based on your preferences.

Every time you hot pot can be a unique experience!

Q: How do I eat hot pot?

A: We're putting together our own How-To-Hot-Pot video at the moment. In the meantime, you can follow these 5 steps on our How To Hot Pot page to enjoy a night of amazing hot pot and brilliant conversations with your loved ones!

You can also follow our Instagram account @hotpotclubau where 1 of our co-founders Josiah posts about everything related to hot pot - culture, memes, and photos!

Q: Are your DIY Hot Pot Kits gluten free or nut free?

A: We don't offer gluten/dairy/soy free broths yet (but we'll work on sourcing them)!

Other than the broths and fishballs, the ingredients of our Hot Pot Kit may also contain traces of dairy, eggs, wheat, soy, tree nuts, peanuts, seafood and other allergens.

Please refer to our Ingredients & Allergens page for more detail.

If you are allergic to any of the above ingredients, we recommend not to consume our Hot Pot Kit.

Q: How long will your hot pot kit ingredients last?

A: We'll be delivering our Hot Pot Kits with thermal pouches and recyclable gel packs. The same ones used by HelloFresh and Marley Spoon. With these components, these boxes can be left unattended at your doorsteps between 4 to 10 hours (depending on the weather conditions).

We suggest you consume our Hot Pot Kits within 2-3 days of receiving the delivery. Though 4-5 days in the fridge will be no problem for the vegetables, tofu and mushrooms. The broths, meats, fishballs can last up to months in the freezer. Not that you'd wait that long to enjoy hot pot anyway...right?! You can also refer to the Ingredients & Allergens page for food storage and safety details too.

Q: How do I return the hot pot equipment to you?

A: You don't have to - the pot, ladles, and gas stove are yours to keep!

After ordering your first kit with the equipment, if you're keen to have another hot pot party you'll just need to order the ingredients. It'll include all the food you need.

We're just starting out, but we have plans to be eco-friendly and sustainable. So if you have any advice, suggestions or ideas, please don't hesitate to let us know!

Other notes:

*Some of the items in our product photos on our website may not be included in our DIY Hot Pot Kit. E.g. the udon noodles and the hot pot soup base packets. We've replaced them with knife-cut noodles and organic fresh broths. Some of the photos were taken early on pre-launch, based on a kit for 4-5 people, with some additional decor to demonstrate serving suggestions.

*The stainless steel pot included in our kit can be used on butane (gas) and induction stoves. Spot welding marks are visible on the side and bottom of the pot. This is not a defect, and is part of how the pots are made.

*Rainbow tints are common on stainless steel cookware including our pot. This is caused by minerals or salts in food and water and is completely normal. The discoloration can be removed by using a non-abrasive stainless steel cleaner.
