What's Hot Pot Club™?

I'm Josiah, 1 of the 3 co-founders of Hot Pot Club™. To quickly explain what Hot Pot Club™ is about - We are Brisbane’s first complete DIY Hot Pot Kit for you to enjoy at home.
(Australia, actually. We're just starting out and only delivering within Brisbane, but have already received requests from Melbourne, Adelaide and even a couple from NZ!)
We deliver everything you need to make hot pot to your home; locally-sourced ingredient, simple to set up and easy to clean after.

Why Hot Pot Club™?
The idea of Hot Pot Club™ came to mind when I became part of the massive redundancy at Youfoodz in 2019. It was the happiest place I've worked at, with the most talented people I've ever worked with.
I haven't been able to find another team of people I love as much since.
So in July 2021, I decided to take a leap of faith. To consolidate spreading this popular East Asian food experience (it's also my childhood favourite) and to build a team of talented people whom I'd admire and enjoy working with.
And to build a community of hot pot lovers who'd love and appreciate the culture behind this wholesome communal meal.

The long term vision? We're going to build an ecosystem of brands; founded by people who are passionate about sharing their passion and cultures. Invest in people, not just ideas. Be in the trenches, not just advisory. (But that's another long story.)
I'm looking forward to meeting all the new people along this journey, and also to gather all the amazing people I've met in my life together again.
Whether it be to work on Hot Pot Club™, to jam on all things marketing, or simply to catch up and enjoy a hot pot feast.

We see Hot Pot Club™ as more than just delivering food to you conveniently. It's about crafting and delivering the best hot pot experience possible for you - whether it's for a romantic date night at home, an easy weeknight family dinner, or an entertaining dinner party with friends.
We're at the start of our journey, so there are going to be some things which we may not have thought of yet. Or things we need to keep improving.

About our Hot Pot Kits

Your Hot Pot One-Stop-Shop
Whether it be a date night dinner for two, a family dinner for four, or a dinner party for eight, we deliver everything you need to make hot pot conveniently, to your home.
Our DIY Hot Pot Kits are easy to prepare and cook. Unbox the kit and layout the ingredients. Bring the broth to a boil, then reduce to a simmer.
Put in your ingredients (cook as you go), wait for a few minutes and enjoy it with your preferred dipping sauces. It's as simple as that. -
Locally-Sourced And No Additives
We source our ingredients locally where possible. Our first partnership is with Sarah Gan from Ugly Food and Co, who makes slow-cooked broths for our customers. All organic, no preservatives, no additives.
Flavours are rotated monthly.
As local hot pot restaurants with decreasing qualities and service become increasingly expensive to eat at, we aim to deliver a much better food and customer experience to our customers.

One Pot, Many Cultures
Move aside, sweet & sour pork and special fried rice. Hot pot is a much more significant Asian cuisine and dish.
Whilst China is regarded as the home of hot pot, each Eastern Asian country has its own hot pot style and varieties. (More than 30 variations altogether!)
We'll be gradually introducing different DIY Hot Pot Kits & foods across East Asia, delivered to your doorstep, for you to enjoy at home conveniently.
